A shift from single-modality evaluation to real-world clinical decision-making
Recently the American College of Cardiology (ACC) in collaboration with nine other cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery societies, has published a new guidance document for appropriate use criteria (AUC) for multimodality imaging in the assessment of cardiac structure and function in nonvalvular heart disease.
Editor-in-Chief Prof. Paul Schoenhagen and Prof. Randall Starling from Cleveland Clinic, both served as a rating panel member for this new AUC document.
