Dr. Nikolaos Papageorgiou is the Cardiologist and Post-CCT Electrophysiology Fellow at the Barts Heart Centre, St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, UK. Dr. Papageorgiou graduated in 2007 receiving his medical degree from Athens University Medical School. His clinical and surgical activity mainly focused on endothelial function/atherosclerosis, inflammation, coagulation/thrombosis, genetics, heart failure/stable angina and atrial fibrillation.
Dr. Papageorgiou has published over 160 research papers and book chapters. He is Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, Member of the ESC Heart Failure Association, and Member of the ESC Council of Stroke. He was also Committee member-European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging/HIT (2014-2016). Responsible for the EACVI/ESC, HIT-Grant regulations. He currently serves as a reviewer for several international peer-reviewed journals, including International Journal of Cardiology, Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology, Heart, European Heart Journal, Hellenic Journal of Cardiology, Expert Opinion on Investigational Drugs etc.
