Journal of Xiangya Medicine: embracing change and recording medical progress

We are excited to introduce our newest journal, Journal of Xiangya Medicine (J Xiangya Med; JXYM), as the first English-language medical journal named after Xiangya Hospital. The journal is based on the history and traditions of the Xiangya Medical System. As an experienced international publisher, AME Publishing Company (www.amegroups.com) is proud to record medical progress from within Xiangya Medical System and around the world.

Xiangya Hospital was established in 1906 by the Yale-China Association of the United States. It has been providing care and education in accordance with the highest standards of western medical colleagues since its establishment. JXYM is designed as an international journal to enhance visibility of the Xiangya Medical System. Its editorial board will include local and international opinion leaders. Published with a model of open access and rigorous peer review, the journal will serve as a platform for healthcare professionals to share precious clinical experience, novel research results, cutting edge technological findings, up-to-date information and profound analysis. The ultimate goal is that this discussion will be benefit to our patients.

The journal will publish invited articles solicited from recognized experts in their fields as well as unsolicited submissions in the categories of original articles, review articles, editorials, commentaries, surgical technique, surgical videos etc. Papers will be accepted after peer review and the submission and editorial process will be managed by the Open Journal Systems (OJS). Our experienced editorial team will guarantee rapid turnaround times, efficient peer-review, high-quality publication and wide dissemination of accepted articles.

Based on the solid academic background of Xiangya Medical System, and its vast network of supporters around the world, we are confident to develop JXYM into a high-impact journal in the coming years, recording the development in the medical field both within Xiangya Medical System and around the world. We warmly welcome all those, who will participate as editorial board members, reviewers, authors, readers, or in any other form.
